Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

The colors make me think it was a Post office FC.
You’ve got it pegged, Blaine.
Compare what’s left of this truck’s lettering to the truck in this image:

Blaine, I didn’t think of that. Forest service use them much?
The Forest Service had FCs too including DRWs. There has been a couple on ewillys. All the Forest Service trucks of any make were the light green with gray top during the late 50s to the mid 70s when they stopped having the gray top. This link loosely explains the colors. The color changes were phased in/out over a few year span as trucks were retired. https://ravallirepublic.com/news/article_8a320962-5231-5447-9ac4-df045cfce2dc.html
Blaine I did not know The USDA Forest Service vehicles had gray tops at one time. My first Forest Service vehicles were the light green. Then The Forest Service lost its identity and went for the white corporate look. My last vehicles were a white Jeep Liberty and a white Ford Explorer.
Boomer here, my Dad was a civil engineer for the USFS for near 40 years and the grey over green was pretty much standard livery. If radio equipped, red numbers on roof. I went out in the field with him several times in the mid-sixties, but don’t recall seeing FC.
Thanks for the info Boomer … hope you are doing well!
