UPDATE: Still Available.
(07/08/2020) This appears worth a look. It does need a little work.

“Mostly original – 4cyl hurricane engine, 3 spd transmission, front lock/unlock hubs, 6V. Vintage hard top with glass in-tact. Matching spare wheel. Engine bay reasonably clean, engine and drive train needs solid cleaning. Gauges mostly not working, 6 volt, wiring has had a few things added but it is mostly original. Floor boards rough. Tires hold air but are not road-worthy. 26xxx on the ODO but it isn’t working. Needs fuel line cleaning and new gas tank (or have it refurbed). Originally forest green. Bring a trailer or get ready to tow it (2” tow kit installed and goes with vehicle).
I bought this as project for myself, my kids, and my father and we’ve barely touched it. It is titled as a 1958 but the serial number is a 1956. One of the first 500 produced, so this is a very early specimen. Had restoration plans but haven’t materialized. My loss is your gain. It ran when I got it almost a year ago but it has sat for most of that. Thus, you are buying as-is. You can poke around in my driveway but don’t expect a test drive! This is a perfect Willys for someone looking for a super vintage restoration. Many older Jeeps have been sliced and diced up; not this one. I’m going to sell it but I’m not in hurry.
Currently titled in California. Non-op registration. Pink slip in hand. Asking $6500. Cash only. Interested? Send me an email. I can show on most evenings or weekends or with advanced notice during the day.”
