UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $11,995.
Looks solid.
“This 1947 Willy’s CJ-2A was acquired in 2017 from a family that had reportedly used it for decades at a cabin near Fort Collins, Colorado. This jeep still has its original 1947 Colorado license plate as well as a current AZ plate and title.
Finished in gray, the Jeep is powered by the infamous 134ci “Go Devil” inline-four teamed with a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The engine runs smoothly and starts effortlessly. 4 Wheel drive works easily and hubs lock smoothly.
This Willy’s could be used as a trail runner for hunters/shooters or even something just to cruise to the local store or car show on the weekends. It could easily be converted into a rock-crawlers dream. The decision is up to the buyer…
The emphasis during the current ownership has been to repair the mechanical and safety items, and ensure they are working properly. Over $2,500 has been spent on repairs within the past year including: replacement of the carburetor float and base gasket, spark plugs, new (original) accelerator pedal and linkage, emergency brake cable, passenger side fender brace and driver’s side complete front fender. Brand new canvas seat upholstery and foam. A brand new battery was just installed. After attending to a bad rear differential cover gasket (with new fluid), there does not appear to be any leaks.
The Willy’s is offered with a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
Vehicle is being offered for sale “as is” no warranty sale.
Multiple pictures are available upon request including “cold-start” running video and operation of the 4 wheel drive.”
