UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
The white stripe seems familiar. Have we seen this one before?
“1947 Willy’s Jeep with 283 v8 has a over drive kit, 4 in lift 32in tires like new was going to restore it but going a different way runs and drives was on road last year also has lock outs new original style seats and gas tank, aluminum radiator”
Yes this has been for sale many many times
It had a custom soft top with a diamond back window and a very funky looking rollbar with curves in the back
Its been featured here on eWillys more than a few times, it would appear to be a difficult sale. 283 is a solid motor for a light vehicle like that but for some reason no one wants it

Here’s a link to another time it was being sold. It looks like it changed hands since then, price has gone down, parts taken off
Thanks John … the seller must be changing the town name for some reason.

You can make a lot of h.p.out of a 283 Chevy motor. Look at all the Corvettes that had 283’s in them before the 327 came out in 1962.

Thats very true. That’s why I mentioned it seems like it would work well with such a light vehicle like a 2a.
The original price was at 6,000 back last year. The price now seems like its more reasonable, but I have to wonder. Every time this thing comes up for sale there’s never pictures of the engine bay, interior, or underside. Of course thats not a deal breaker, but a clean 2a with a v8 shouldve sold by now (or atleast I would think so)
We did see this one. It had a funny top on it though.
ITS GENE!!!!!!! GENE IS BACK!!!!!
