“1947, Willys Jeep CJ-2A – has 18,071 original miles-was garaged for 35 years. Jeep is original with 4 cylinder -134 engine, 3 speed manual and 6 volt. The 4wd has front locking hubs, hi/lo transfer case works excellent. Has working heater. Has original back seat with newer upholstery. The Paint is original, as are wheels, minimal rust on this Willys Jeep, was always garaged by original owner. The Brakes were completely replaced-new lines, master cylinder & wheel cylinders; also New clutch.
The transmission and transfer case inspected and resealed, work by professional transmission shop -has 12k warranty on transmission and transfer case. Front and rear axles inspected and resealed, new gear oil. New tune-up and oil change. New gas tank, fuel lines flushed. Brand New shocks and tires. Much invested in this Original Willys. Registered, no smog needed. This Willys runs and drives great. I have extra and new parts for it. Recently laid off, must sell. 8,900.00 or best offer.”
That left rear driver’s side behind door above wheel doesn’t look right, some slob art body work. Just a question, seller states original paint, I don’t recall white being an original color back then in 1947. Just curious.
Mike, original to him maybe lol. Firewall, engine side of fenders, dash, floor etc tell a different story unless that’s what he’s referring to. With supporting documentation, it does seem like a fair value though. Typical CL listing with not enough photos.
i think I saw this one for sale last year out of Colorado for $5500. Guess the value goes up when they move to California
Vince, Another guy trying to cashing in, this “flipping” of vintage vehicles is destroying the hobby.
