Mike shared this photo that was drifting around Facebook. It’s clip of Dean Martin behind a Jeepster Commando. According to the Facebook post, “Dean Martin, Senta Berger, Janice Rule, and a ‘67 Jeepster Commando Station Wagon. From the 1967 Matt Helm film “The Ambushers”.” As Derek Redmond pointed out, it’s not the only Jeep in that movie.
The Internet Movie Car Database has even more pics from the movie. In fact, Jeepster Commandos appeared in a variety of movies: https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Jeep_model-Jeepster+Commando.html
Wow Dave, valuable information, I’m going to have to watch this movie, more Jeeps in one movie that I’ve ever seen.
RING A DING DING !!
Interesting hub caps, are they stock?
David
David, those hubcaps were of interest to me also, I remember then being a high priced option at that time on the Jeepster. If you view the Thanksgiving turkey magazine ad that i posted last year on EWILLYS. They were the same hupcaps used by Ford Motor Co. on their special edition full size pick ups and Galaxies.I could never figure out what the deal was on those, 2 Companies that used the same hupcap at the same time.
WOW, I just watched the short intro to this movie on utube, HOT, they don’t make movies like this any more, as Frank Costanza would say, “Hoochie mama” I have to watch this movie, if I can find it.

I found it, here’s the link to the FREE MOVIE. Don’t know how I missed it back in ’67, That was the period in time when I was considering the priesthood. In retrospect, I don’t know if I’ve been cursed or blessed. Enjoy the film.

I had an AMT plastic model of a Jeepster in fhe late 60s or early 70s that had those hubcaps as an optional wheel compo for the model –
Thanks Mike!
