I have one of these brochures, it was part of a batch of 5 brochures I bought 20 years ago for less than five dollars. What fascinated me about this early brochure, was the very small rear hatch window on the dispatcher hard top, I have never seen one like this early production example. Does anyone know when the switch was made to the large rear window? That goes for the CJ5’s also.

I have one too , how bout the early small glass window used on willys jeepsters ? the dj-3a convertible is a poor mans JEEPSTER ?

Mike: It’s possible that the window was an illustrator’s mistake? I don’t remember it appearing on any CJ-5/DJ-3A Koenig-built hardtops? But, I also haven’t studied this issue, so I could be wrong.

Vernon: DJ-3A convertible was billed as the cheapest convertible available at the time … it was certainly cheaply built! The Jeespter was a much nicer design.

    did the dj-3a use a t-96 transmission ? probably no overdrive ? slow ? top speed 45 ? the early 50’s 473 HT truck had a t-96 with a top shifter – I know , I used to fix one for my neighbor — my 48 model 2WD truck has a column shift t-90 , 2 piece drive shaft — carrier bearing
