Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

excuse me , but I have a bad feeling about this JEEP ? — notice that theres no JEEP name on the cowl ? — all my cj-6’s are stamped JEEP on the side — so , maybe this is not a JEEP ? — could easily be a VOLKSWAGEN or GOD FORBID –> A TOYOTA ? — looks similar to a CJ-6 JEEP ? — but I have my doubts — I have seen way too many FAKE CJ-6 JEEPS to fork over any of my hard earned cash on an anomaly like this ? — GOOD LUCK !
That’s a good point Vernon. It could be a reproduction body. That might explain the lack of “JEEP” on the side.
It should also have the fake battery box lid, too. Again, if it is a repro body, this would explain why it is not there.
ok , lets pick this thing apart – windshield should be black – steps were knocked off – dust caps on rear axles missing – doesn’t have the desirable 225 v-6 like my 67 cj-6 – no t-98 4sp — missing hood windshield hold-downs – owner too embarrassed to say it has the gutless f-134 engine – no warn overdrive ( every willys or other make vehicle I have has an overdrive ) ( correction , my 79 gmc class c motorhome has the turbo 400 , no OD , 4.10 Dana 70 dually around back , lets face it , its SLOW , might put an electric OD on it or R+R the tranny with the 700R4 overdrive model ) – and this cj-6 may be a fiberglass body – that a dirty word , i’m doing fiberglass work right now on an old shower , very , very nasty , toxic stuff – NO SALE
Is this still available? do you have any more photos
do we have more photo’s of this jeep, and for the money can we take it for a drive better still is it still available
Thank you
Roy
Hi Roy, I haven’t seen this jeep listed lately. I suspect it sold. I’ve updated the post.
I did find this CJ-6 that just went up for sale: https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/d/glendale-1956-willys-cj6-jeep/7207675147.html
I hope that helps,
