This is a classic that can both roar down PCH or up any hill or sand dune across Southern California with fun and ease. Super reliable. This 1947 Willys CJ2a is completely upgraded throughout and as reliable as any daily driver while still staying true to the original.
The ride is super smooth. Springs are upgraded to allow the Willys to purr at 80 mph down the freeway without any wobble, nice and tight. You will never see a flattie roll as stable as this. Can also tackle any off-road situation with zeal. . . Sits on 35” BFG MTs (which will need to be replaced) and also comes with a full roll cage.
Has a full spare for the back on a swing-away bumper system that includes a spare hub, along with Hi-Lift jack and 5-gallon gas can (not shown in pictures). Engine purrs perfectly and is a nice robust Chevy 305 with a Ford T-18 solid transmission with an awesome crawler first gear. Dual mufflers are Magnaflow and also features headers. New 10-gallon plastic gas tank as well. Dana 44s in both front and back, tow hooks on both ends and a hitch attachment.
Upgraded to power steering and brakes. Also has functional Ramsey 8000 lb. winch. All gauges are upgraded to Autometer stainless finish. Features a hydralic emergency brake system. Electrical system is flawless.
Body is totally original and red paint job is solid.
Only body difference to original 47 is upgraded front window (from a 48) to allow for better views (1947 had split window front windshield with smaller viewer area for driver).
Has all original plaques and identification badges. . . You’ll never find another CJ2a like this.”
Why do the tires need to be replaced? For 12k why should I be the one replacing them?
Prices are only getting crazier!
If people are going pay anywhere close to these prices it’s time to sell the extra stuff.
True Dave! Though, I have seen some jeeps sell at crazy prices that shouldn’t have ever been sold, but we can only help folks so much.
