“This is an original 1956 print ad for Jeep! It measures approximately 14″ x 10″ overall, has no stains or tears, comes from a dry, high-altitude, smoke-free environment, and is strictly graded”
Love that ventilating windshield! I sure do enjoy mine!
I know a lot of guys love flat fender jeeps, but that stock early CJ-5 is a good looking jeep.
I like the CJ5’s better than the military models and better than the 2a and 3a’s. Bigger more practical.
Willys Overland Export Corporation was a separate corporation from Willys Motors designed to handle all the Willys vehicles that were built either in the USA or by other subsidies in other countries and shipped to locations around the world. Probably had something to do with international law and being able to produce or export vehicles to other countries.
The early DJ3A Galas/Surreys that went to Hawaii in 1959, even though Hawaii was a new state, were sent through Willys Overland Export Corporation, as were the Surreys sent to Mexico, the Virgin Islands and other tropical areas. Willys Overland Export Corporation may have ended with the purchase of Willys Motors by AMC.
