UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
(10/11/2019) Looks like a great little jeep. It’s listed as a 2A, but may be a 3A. This was previously listed here.
“Willys CJ2A for sale. Powered by 1973 Ford Pinto 2.0L engine. Comes with 2 soft tops and doors, bikini top, 9500 lb winch. Engine and transmission overhauled. Great vehicle for driving the woods.”
I remember this being for sale in Idaho sometime back around February 2018. I was always intrigued by the Pinto motor conversion and wanted to do one.
Roger,
Correct you are. Here is the link: http://www.ewillys.com/2018/02/23/1949-cj-3a-menan-id-4750/
Dad swapped his Chev 350 in his CJ-5 for a 2.0L pinto engine back in the 80s. His CJ-5 was a bit overbuilt (read extra heavy), so it didn’t go very fast on the road with the pinto engine, but in the trails (with a T-98/dana 18/4:11 gearing) it worked great. It didn’t break down, didn’t stall, handled inclines and side hills.
That is a neat little jeep, useful mods, usually dependable motor and not chopped up. Tho yellow not a favorite jeep color for me I appreciate the old school flames.
