This appears to have recapped desert dog tires. This is listed as a 1945 jeep.

“Call or text for more information. No rust. Older restoration. Runs and drives good. Clear Virginia title. May be interested in 7000 cash and nice trade such as muscle car or sports car or a nice side by side utility vehicle.”
At $12,500 you really don’t wanta let it go do ya? It’s a keeper!
Can anyone tell me what kind of soft top frame this M38 has? It doesnt look quite like the others I’ve seen or the one currently being sold by Kaiser Willys.

John,
To me, it doesn’t look like a Whitco/White, Dualmatic or Kayline top. It is probably an older BesTop setup. My dad had a BesTop from the early 1970s with a very similar bracket. It allowed the lower bar to fold back, then the upper bar to drop on top when not using the top. The doors also look like the BesTop type as well.
Here are some options for BesTop tops from 1968: http://jeepwillysworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Bestop_SalesBrochure_4_of_4.jpg

Thanks Dave. It makes sense to be aftermarket now that you mention it. I had been trying to find some kind of top bow system for my CJ2a that didnt involve the the regular bows.
I like the idea of it being bolted down and collapsible as opposed to removing and storing the stock bows. But something tells me it’s going to be near impossible to find this particular one for sale
