UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $2700. This was previously listed in Irvine.
(09/16/2019) From the pics, it looks like there was some good work done on this.
“Very cool Willy’s Jeep all original drivetrain does not run. It looks like the cowl and windshield were grafted from a Willy’s wagon, and the steel cab is all one piece. Probably not a prototype vehicle or a relative to the CJ4, but a cool “missing link” CJ2a built with awesome craftsmanship 40+ years ago. Possibly a non-US made Jeep wagonette. Suicide doors latch. Great patina. This will be the coolest Jeep at Easter Jeep safari.”
That’s pretty cool. Price not outrageous. Noticed rear full float axle and maybe gas tank sumps below doors.
It’s a mb frame and body with a post war l head.
HI Dave isn’t this the same Jeep from a couple of weeks back. I remember commenting it looked like some of the customized Jeeps in Europe after WW2.
It was posted here as an MB on Sept 1 as being in Irvine and sold for $2750.
Peter, Yes. I just couldn’t remember when or where.
Race, thanks! I’ve updated the post with that link.
Jeep is sold! Thanks Ewillys
Congrats Andy. I’ve updated the post.

It is baaaack on CL. There is something about this I can’t stop looking at. I was around guys that did things like this and worked with lead to produce amazing cars.
A mystery indeed. I keep viewing the windshield and surround, almost looks like a Divco delivery truck.
Does anyone know where this jeep is and how to locate the owner?
Thank you,
Scottie

Scottie,
I have not seen this jeep reposted since October of last year. I’m not sure if it sold or was just pulled to be relisted when spring/summer arrives. If I see it relisted I will send an email.
