UPDATE: It’s actually an incomplete Structo Missile Defense Jeep. See this complete version to see what’s missing. https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/185118-i-inherited-a-structo-jeep-among-many-ot

“I have several toys for sale… This one is a Structo Sit-N-Ride Army Jeep. Tires are good and still can be rode. Has a storage compartment in the back for some Red Rider shut’em up gloves. Neat old toy. The price is $150 firm.”
Compare the one above to what an original looks like:
Wonder what the brackets were for on the front fenders?
Agreed. Those are an odd addition. I looked at the pics too fast and missed them.

Brackets are correct. I have the exact same jeep.

Any idea of what these brackets held? I can’t figure it out.
Dale,
That’s very interesting and a surprise as most Structo’s don’t have them.
After a little research, it appears these brackets only appeared on the military themed Structo jeeps. The brackets held “missiles”. Here’s a great article that shows how they were used. I’ll update the post a little later with this article: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/185118-i-inherited-a-structo-jeep-among-many-ot

Pretty cool. Wheel around the house and shoot missles at your sisters.
