UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6950. Now for sale here: http://www.ewillys.com/2019/11/14/1958-cj-6-san-gabriel-ca-9000/
This CJ-6 has the King Seeley 0-8 speedo with the broken pointer (not uncommon to see them broken). I’m surprised to see that speedo in a model as late as 1958, so it wouldn’t surprise me if this was actually an early 1957 model sold as a 1958.

6V in a 58 is a surprise too. Solid looking CJ6. Love the rear jump seats.
Are those jump seats MB seats?
I’m always amazed and envious when I see how little corrosion is on Jeeps as well as other brands of vehicles from this area of the USA.
those transverse troop seats in the back were in president Reagans cj-6 — a great and rare options for cj-6 only — another reason to bypass cj-5’s
This is an awesome CJ6.
Aside – why do so many speedo needles snap? The speedo cable get gummed up?
DONT ASK MODERATOR DAVE BUT — THERES A SMALL OIL HOLE ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE SPEEDOMETER — NO ONE KNOWS ITS THERE , BUT I DO — IF YOU OIL IT EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE , YOU HAVE A SPEEDO THAT WORKS AND DOESNT SELF-DESTRUCT !! — PS , DONT TELL DAVE THAT THOUGH , IT WILL CONFUSE HIM …
I do confuse easily.
Hey Clam Beach-
Quick aside. Do you prefer Clam Beach, Moonstone Beach, or the North Jetty to drive your Willys on?
I believe those are jump-seats out of a toyota FJ. I have a set I picked up to try in the back of a 6. Looks pretty good in this one.
Based on the photos of President Reagan’s CJ-6 before it was painted ret, those seats were added later. Do any of our experts have any additional info?
I think those folding jump seats are out of an early 1970’s Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser.
Our family had a ’72.
Check out the seat frame construction. It’s far too “dainty” for something conceived in Toledo.
My high school buddies loved the party wagon…
