Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Gen Walker was my dad’s XX Corps commander (3rd Army) in WW2. Patton respected him greatly. He died just a few months after this photo was taken when his command jeep, pictured above, collided with a weapons carrier near Seoul, South Korea.
This should go to his grandkids.
