UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2750. Now listed here.
This highly modified MB has been floating around Facebook a few days. Listed as a 1941, it appears to be an MB of some vintage. Someone invested quite a bit of time with the mods, especially the door and top system. The fenders and bumper look to me like parts form a Philippine Jeepney.
“Selling a rare 41 Willy’s coupe been in storage years ! Solid orig engine n drive train not Running suicide doors 4X4 great project to restore ! Missing seats”
It is now also listed on eBay. I’ve been trying to figure this out, very unique.
It’s been deleted from Craigslist and I couldn’t find it on eBay either. Maybe it’s sold.
Mike, if you happen to have an eBay link, can you post it here? I can’t seem to find it.
Hi Dave, l think it looks alot like pictures from the end of WW11 of customized jeeps in Europe. The front fenders seem very much the same as those Jeeps.
Peter, that’s a good point. It could well have been modified by a motor pool.
Here’s a link to the ebay auction, thanks to Mike. It ended without any bids: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1946-Willys-Station-Sedan-/183929839801
