UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000.
Bob’s selling his beautiful Tux Park. It was parked across from us at 2018’s Willys Reunion in Aurora, so I had time to look it over.
“Willys 1965 CJ5 Tuxedo Park Mark IV. Original condition and paint. Hurricane 4CYC + T90 transmission. PTO winch. Chrome bumpers + accents. 40/60 bench seats. Column shift transmission. 5/new Winterforce tires.Original seats with rear pads. Myers metal half cab(not shown) 33,000 mi. Featured jeep at the 2017 Bantam Jeep Festival history display. Canvas top not included. Only serious calls”
Very nice Tux, that powder blue color is rare. South Paterson Trucking in NJ had a Tuxedo Park in this color with a matching blue soft convertible top, white walls and full hubcaps, equipped with a Meyer plow. Sharp Jeep when new, back in the 60’s. Decades later in the 90’s the trucking company had gone out of business, and there was the tux, old rusted and decrepit, no top, sitting among the bushes and junk in the back lot. I tried to save it, made inquires with no reply. Broken heart, like loosing an old friend, that’s my problem.
SIMPLY — B=E=A=U=T=I=F=U=L — IF IT WAS A GIRL JEEP , I’D MARRY IT !!!
Those same seats are for sale on Long Island craigslist , auto parts ,Willys .
This truly is a beautiful Jeep and I have tried to slap Bob around to convince him not to sell it, but he wants to!
I hope he has sold this…wife says I don’t need a third one, but I know its easier to ask forgiveness than permission! Looks like I’m going to call him. If it is what he says, its a fair price.
David: Bob’s a great guy. He won’t steer you wrong.
Bob sold it yesterday – 6/29/2019 – Ray
