I notice this has a two piece windshield. Think it is a replacement or could this actually be a 2a? I thought the 3a had single piece.

Yes, the stock 3A had the one piece windshield, but the 2A and 3A windshields were interchangeable (as were the MB/GPW and the M-38 and the CJ-3B and the DJ-3As), so it’s not uncommon to see the wrong windshield on early jeeps.
Because this jeep lacks the 2A bumper gussets and doesn’t have any bow holders on the driver’s side, my guess is that it is a 3A. But, it could be a 2A that’s been modified to look like a 3A.
