“1948 CJ2A with an aluminum V8 215, 4 speed, 4 low and high, warn overdrive, winch, dual fuel tanks, rear seat that is removable, new tires, carburetor rebuilt, new manual fuel pump, runs great but brake issues.”

Does he come with it?????
Just some commentary on the 215 V/8, I believe this was a early 1960’s design that was available as an option in the new redesigned, downsized Buick Special. GM ran into problems with the aluminum block and heads, couldn’t stand up to the heat and developed cracks. The engine was discontinued for this reason. As a result, The 225 V/6 came into production. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not an expert, just passing on information I’ve accumulated over the years.
Yeah, ole’ Lucky is sending out a TEXT. They didn’t invent e-bombs, but they were well ahead of humans in SPAMMING. Nice looking jeep tho.
Mike: Here’s a discussion about some of the good/bad of the 215 blocks. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/might-be-getting-a-buick-215-what-to-look-for.565452/
Thanks Dave for passing this information along, fills in the missing pieces & confirms my “hesitation” about these engines.
