I spend the last couple days driving to, then back from Seattle. Dad’s been saying a few odd things, so I wanted to see how he was doing at his new Rehab facility. He may have the start of some dementia … on the joys of aging.
Because of my drive over on Sunday, I lost out on the chance to get this Dualmatic Sales Demo hub. But, I did score some cool wagon/truck/jeepster brochures fairly inexpensively. So, I’ll be sharing those at some point.
Here’s the demo hub. There’s not a good pic of it, but there’s plastic around the edge so viewers can watch how the levers engage/disengage the hubs.
I have a set of those that were on my first V35 when i bought it. One has the cover broken the other is good. I tried to sell at the show this past weekend but no takers. If anyone is interested give me a shout. h8pvmnt@hotmail.com
I had a mint desktop demo set that were identical from a pick of WO in Toledo years ago, long gone trade bait
Dave,
Once again…..love the small things….literature….postcards etc.
Now the important stuff…..hope your father and family are doing well. I am actually using ewillys as a little “therapy” myself. Our mother is 100yrs old…..still in the house in Iowa we were all born in…..last week she fell and fractured her hip…..hospital stay and now I am in the lounge in her skilled nursing home that we got her into yesterday……in minus 38 wind chill……will be minus 50 tonight. Making regular runs from Milwaukee to E. Iowa sharing overnight duty for the next several weeks with my brothers…..I can relate to your trips to Seattle.
Great ortho surgeon from Dubuque area……comparing notes after the surgery…..put in three screws…..said he had really good bone to anchor them in …..my woodworker brother and fabricator brother all shared a laugh with him……nothing worse than driving a screw in and having it spin fast and free right at the end when it should be bottoming in good stuff…..we all hate stripped holes……been there done that.
Best of luck with your family
Allan
Allan,
So sorry to hear about your mom! I’m gad things went well with the operation. I hope she’s back on her feet soon. Yes, this surely is the important stuff!
