UPDATE: Seller claims this as a Buick 231 V6, but it’s something different.
TJ shared this one. It’s a good price.

“Buick 231 odd fire engine. DOES RUN!!! Was bought for a jeep project but went another direction”
I’m confused (first time, I swear,lol)
That looks to be a 60* vee, not 90… and the distributor is in the back
I am confused, too. I hurriedly posted this last night, so didn’t take a good look at it.
That doesn’t look like a 231 to me either. I’ll update the post.
It is not a 90 degree design as mbullism said. There is no oil filter pad and pump body on the lower left. The front bolt pattern on the head is too close together. Could a front wheel drive engine, maybe a 231/3.8l in that config, maybe a 3.0l size.
Looks like a Chevy 2.8 to me
I don’t think it is a Buick. Doesn’t look anything like the 231 Buick in my Jeepster.
I’m leaning towards the 2.8/173 also. Early 80’s Camaros and S-10s had these. The mechanical fan mounting to the pulley says rear wheel drive application. The pulley is too bulky for Chevrolet Citations etc.
