No updates Monday.
Karson and his girlfriend Mariah are visiting Seattle, so I took them on a short drive in Patterson. Karson wanted to drive, and though he’d never driven a stick, let alone a column shift, he gave it a try. He only stalled it once (though we never got out of first gear).
Now that is a GREAT use for a vintage Willys ! Family getting together for a Fall weekend…..vintage Willys…..an instructional outing for a generation who has no concept of “two pedals”…..clutches…..shift patterns……correctly “launching” ……proper take off after a very steep stop sign……priceless !!
I have unfortunately gotten behind in bringing my 1953 CJ3B safely back to life for street use (was all ready until an unforeseen pesky leaking wheel cylinder)…….my Fall driving lessons for our two daughters and boyfriend and husband has been postponed until next Spring.
Instead……we had a little wine…..beer…..pizza and watched the Packers lose really stupidly……but enjoyed the Brewers dominate on their way to the World Series……great family Sunday.
