“Original 1949 flatbed truck. Cab off restoration. 12 volt Ford 6 cylinder engine. 4 wheel drive works fine. A very nice slow truck.”
OK , THIS IS AN ACTUAL ORIGINAL STAKEBODY — I HAVE 2 OF THEM — LOTS OF HOME-MADE STAKE-BODIES OUT THERE — BUT THIS IS AN ORIGINAL — TRUST ME — SEVERAL FEATURES INCORRECT THOUGH — THE WOOD ON THE REAR , ORIGINALLY THERE WAS A SLOT THERE TO STORE THE SPARE TIRE — THE FUEL TANK NECK SHOULD BE ON THE STARBOARD SIDE ( RIGHT ) JUST LIKE A WILLYS PICKUP TRUCK — ALSO THEY HAD FULL STAKE- RACKS ON THE 4 SIDES OF THE FLATBED — OH , AND THIS TRUCK IS MISSING THE ” GO-DEVIL L4-134 ” ENGINE — OH WELL — NOT A MUSEUM CANDIDATE , BUT BETTER THAN MOST …
Thanks for the pointers. I know little about the original stake beds.
