UPDATE: **Sold** Was $15,000.
(07/19/2018) This is neat.
“Original 1958 Willys CJ6 with 7,000 actual miles on it. It was manufactured into a brush truck by Hahn Manufacturing of Hamburg PA in 1958. It operated in service exclusively in a local fire department just miles from Hahn. Pumps need new gaskets, recently spent 2k on maintenance.”
that’s probably the best 6 fire truck I have seen — but with a f4-134 , the fire would burn out before you got there ..
This is especially neat to me! I grew up 12 miles from Hamburg PA. Our fire Dept. Got the last Hahn fire truck to roll off the line before it closed! I had no idea they made Jeep CJ6 fire trucks as well! So cool!
Paul at Willy America would probably get a kick out this.
It is pretty cool! But where to put one more fire engine?
Paul,
I guess it’s out of the question to see if I can store one or two with you until next year’s show. Was thinking that if I could drop them off this year I might be able to make it to your show next year.
That’s a great looking rig and seems like a good value for the money.
I’M SURPRISED WILLYS AMERICA DONT WANT THIS WITH ALL FIRES IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ?? — BUT LIKE I’VE SAID BEFORE — THE BARNEY ROOS DESIGNED F4-134 ENGINE IS A SLUG — 72 , 75 MEAGER HORSEYS — HAHAHAHA — THE FIRE WOULD BE AT COMPLEX STAGE BEFORE YOU GOT THE OLD ” 6 ” STARTED …
Something weird with the year on this. The clutch pedal, brake pedal, and steering wheel are Kaiser. IE 1963 or newer. Front turn signals look like 1964-up. Really nice truck either way!!!!
Hi is this still for sale
regards
Wayne
Hi Wayne, I haven’t seen this for sale recently, so I believe it sold. I have updated the post.
