And they were built in Lima,a fifteen minute drive from the town I grew up in.I learned another Willys fact,thanks for sharing Dave and Mr. Packrat!
When my friend had his Jeep Dealership he had to order some signs. Willys made him buy them. That was the way with some specialized tools. He had to buy them. This dealership was located in Kansas and the Zone Office was located in Kansas City.
My friend Jim has one of the lighted Willys signs that he found in Pennsylvania a few years ago. It is worth a lot of bucks today! If you wanted to replicate it, that would cost a lot as well.

Barney,thanks to your dad and all of those who served or are serving.And it is spelled Findlay,a lot of people spell or call it Finley or Findley.
Bruce,there is still a Ford engine plant in Lima as far as I know,I don’t get over there much anymore.They have built a lot of engines there.The FE blocks were some of them.They used to haul the blocks from a casting plant in or near Cleveland to the Lima engine plant to be built.Then the empty racks would be hauled back to Cleveland.
If I filled out a coupon and mailed it in, how many signs could I order?
