(04/15/2018) Jon’s selling his CJ-6. You can see more pics here on Photobucket  or on Craigslist. Video below taken during remaining body assembly and before valve adjustment. You can contact him at jonvo@paadgroupllc.net.

Have had this jeep for many years, just recently finished mechanical restoration. Need to sell as too many vehicles & projects. This is apparently a rare Jeep, was not aware until recently. Special Tux

Park parts are included except:
Missing chrome license light, special license mounting is included
Missing special hubcaps or wheel covers.
Missing rear bumper, front bumper included but bent. Front bumper currently is welded on, the Tux park bumper is separate. Could be front or rear I think.
Rear fender covers are in very bad shape, likewise original upholstery. This Jeep apparently had red upholstery which is included, but very poor. The black front seats & upholstery included is period correct however.
All the other Tux park stuff is there, some of the chrome is in poor shape. The hood emblems are included but not installed.
The factory column shifter was replaced by a floor shift.
I have the column shift and it has been rebuilt along with the matching steering box. I will include these at the asking price only.

Driveline Ujoints replaced.

Rear spare tire area repaired & welded, primer coat,. New spare tire hat channel welded, and reinforcing wood block ñused Brazilian walnut. FYI on Brazilian walnut, it will outlast the Jeep!
Both fenders repaired & welded & rustproofed, rattle can paint for protection.
New body mount bushings & bolts all around.

Five (5) new tires bias ply, 6.50 x 16. Wheels have been powdercoated white.

Work remaining:
Speedo gauge, cable & transfer case gear all appear to check out, but no reading from the speedo. Not sure of the issue.

Gas gauge does not read. Wiring was checked & rechecked, tank gauge appears to work. Tanks sending unit was rebuilt & tank cleaned. Not sure of the issue.

Oil pressure sender broke off at the engine block. Has been plugged for now, will require engine removal to gain access to fix.

Only has driverís side seat belts.

Have not driven at high speeds, so donít know about alignment issues. Front end was aligned manually. Seems to be fine at speeds around town, about~30 ñ 40mph.

Body needs paint, some areas have rattle can paint, or primer. Body is in quite good condition, any areas showing surface rust were treated with anti-rust. Photos show underside & top areas that have some surface rust. Given itís age the body is in pretty amazing condition, as this Jeep has sat for quite a while.

Rear taillight area left side needs more permanent repair, likewise right side. Includes factory sheetmetal & body mounts needed for this repair, just have not installed them. Those areas treated with anti-rust compound. Driverís floor could use a more permanent repair. The area was cleaned, rustproofed, and new sheetmetal installed, but metal was riveted.

There are a number of small holes in areas around this Jeep. Some have been plugged. Also a number of dents inside the rear tail section particularly. This jeep was apparently used to haul objects that dented the inside.

Top is a Kelly custom 300, I believe. Has the rear swing doors instead of lift gate. An original tailgate in excellent shape is included, but not the Tux park tailgate as it was too far gone.
The top is in quite excellent condition, but, of course, could use paint. Top was removed & checked for rust & issues, Only slight surface corrosion was found.. The lower body mount area was cleaned up & spray painted. Top was remounted to the Jeep body with new hardware and gaskets. New window gaskets are included, have not yet been installed. If the top was to be painted, then would be a good time to remove all the windows, paint, and re-install the glass.

Front doors were rebuilt & window linkage refurbished ñ they roll up & down fine. Rear doors were straightened and the glass replaced. Doors function well.

None of the doors front or rear have gaskets ñ they were removed as they were rotted.

Door locks are missing keys.

Seats are in very good shape, a few small tears, but have original upholstery in amazing condition for the age. These would have been the correct seats & colors, but this jeep (apparently) had red seats instead of black. The seats are the correct style, drivers side is adjustable, and passenger side folds up.

No rear seat.

This would be a perfect candidate for body off restore, I just donít have the facility to do it. As is it is a great Jeep, but I have too many project vehicles. Hope someone will appreciate it!
Many photos of the work performed.
