UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
This has potential.
“1953 Willys Jeep St. Wagon, 47k. miles. 4 w. d. I bought this from the original owner 6-8 yrs. ago, I got it home and cleaned the gas tank – got it running, drove it around the yard & put it in the barn- I put new bk shoes & 2 new hubs on it. Had plans to restore it but I lost interest, got too old and have health issues. This box of parts go with it and has a tow bar. Has a good solid body and floor. I think there is some bondo in the rear quarter panels. Has clear title.”
Is the 4cyl too underpowered for this to be a daily driver?
I would say it depends on your commute. A rural setting would be fine, but in a more urban setting I wouldn’t think it would be all that great.

Is there enough space in the engine compartment to do a swap for a Willys 6 Cylinder engine?
Yes. Some came with the inline 6.
I just spoke to the seller this morning. It is sold.
Thanks for the update Jamie. I’ve updated the post.
I was the lucky one to purchase this Sweet Wagon. the seller wanted it to be kept Original and Stock. I plan to do that with my 17 year old son we will restore it back to original Glory. Temperance MI is just across the Stateline and 6 miles form Original Willys Overland /Jeep plant in Toledo. Most of my Gfandparents and other relatives all worked at plant. chances are that one of them already had their hands on this back when it was built.
Congrats on the purchase. It sounds like you’ll take good care of it! Good luck!
