UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $16,500.
It’s best termed a mechanical restoration, as there are still some imperfections on the interior.
“1969 Jeepster Commando 4×4 with removable hardtop. Completely rebuilt 255 “Dauntless” V6 and extensive work on mechanicals to make like new. All work done less than 6k miles ago. Odometer reads 86,240k. Receipts and photo documentation will be provided. Three speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and allows for great cruising speeds around town or on freeway. Seats are comfortable and material is in great shape.
Rare vintage decals and black plates add to great original looks. Jeepster has been stored indoors and in Ojai for most of it’s life. I have spent over $7,000 on upgrades and mechanical restoration which include; new motor, new brakes and drums, new suspension, new tie rods, new exhaust, new radiator, carb rebuild, new vintage style off road tires, new gas tank, hoses, and sending unit, new tow hitch and wiring (never used).
Almost everything underneath has been painstakingly cleaned & coated as shown in pictures. There have never been any rust issues anywhere except a small area on the tailgate next to the bottom corner of the license plate. I have the original owners manual, owners guide, and misc. original brochures. California title is clear and in my name. Registration is current and tags expire in January of 2019.
This is an extremely fun and easy car to drive. It is safe, reliable, and economical. It has been a great weekend cruiser around Ojai for many many years. This Jeepster has never been abused off road. It has always been loved, cared for, and well maintained. I hope for that to continue. The price is $16,500. Trade for RV considered. I see this vehicle as a great investment opportunity that will continue to rise in popularity and value”
I’m interested.
is this vehicle still forsale?
