UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Has some updates, include a Vortex V-6.
“1946 Jeep Willys original body and drive train. 3 speed T-90 transmission with 4 wheel drive. Warn Locking hubs. This jeep had a new paint job. interior is rhino lined. all lights and gauges function as they should. comes with an original and extremely rare 1947 removable dually kit, that was sandblasted and repainted. It is currently on the vehicle. It can stay on or can be removed as desired. Has a modified engine with a Vortec v-6 rebuilt with under 100 miles on it.
The seats have been recovered and look new. it has a CJ-3A windshield because i liked the look better than the CJ 2-A. functioning driver side wiper. I also have the blinker set up that i haven’t set up yet. Starts on the first turn. Was converted to a 12volt alternator. rear disc brakes. color combo is beautiful. has minor imperfections but this is not a repro body. Has all the hardware for a canvas soft top. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a jeep willys with real temporary dually…I’ve searched for over 20 years to find the dually kit.
It has enough modifications to make it safe and an every day driver. The tires are basically brand new plus spare. New shocks all around, no leaks, no rust. just had an oil change two days ago. It pains me to part with it, I absolutely love it but i’m in the process of buying a house but its going much slower than expected and i don’t have a garage and don’t want it left outside”
Nice! I like this look, might look good on an M38 too!
Check out the back side of the windshield. Interesting mod. Nice jeep and close by! Anybody want to donate some money to my jeep fund?
He’s been looking for a dually set up for 20 years!?… Yeah that dually adapters, ventilating windshields or maybe the WWII radiator surge tanks are about the rariest accesories that everyone wants but no one can find anymore and the repro. of those costs atleast a finger. I’ll pay $300 with shipping for a propper dually if anybody wants to sell one set but a guy in ebay selling for $700 -shipping! INSANE!
The paint is pretty but the body and prep work is not. I would say a 30 footer.
Terry: I’ve seen the dually adapters go for as high as $1000. I think those days might be gone, but, yes, they are expensive.
I got mine for free but waited a long time for them!
Awesome score Bob!
looking for a dually conversion kit. I have the 7 and1/2″ studs, just need the extenders
Hi Lance,
There were several kinds of Dually adapters produced, so I’m not exactly sure which type you have. Here’s a list of ones I’ve documented: http://www.ewillys.com/2017/04/05/dual-wheel-adapters/
I’d keep a watch on eBay. You might also post something to the CJ-2A forum. If you have time and are near North Canton, Ohio, stop by they Willys Reunion this weekend, as there will be a variety of used parts vendors who might have something you need or know someone who does.
I hope that info helps,
– Dave
