It’s pretty rough, but could be an interesting project. I haven’t run across many early ones.

“Up for sale is a complete early Land Rover. It will need a full restoration and new frame. Very rough shape. I’m not very knowledgeable on these at all. Come take a look and make an offer in person. Will not ship or any of that happy bullshit. No title. Doesn’t run. Not looking for trades unless it’s an old jeep or something along those lines.”
Great year (’61), cool patina, …maybe it would be happier in Arizona 😉
These old land rovers aren’t for the faint of heart. There are specialists who make replacement frames, but you should approach any old LR thinking you’ll be spending 5x as much to restore it as a similar condition jeep.
Joe, it would be, but when Jan moves you into the dog house, you won’t be! 🙂
Craig: I was thinking the same thing, especially if someone tried to restore it to stock. But, I never know if someone has an interesting in things like this.
Easier and cheaper to find one in already good shape.
So true, Dave! I was just dreaming… glad this is nowhere near me 😉
