(02/07/2018) So much beautiful work here, yet the parking lights and brake lights were NOT brought back to stock?

Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Those brake lights were an impulse buy at the “wide white” store…
Too bad they lost thee seams in the rear of the body to bondo…
Looks great and they did a very nice job but the comments above are quite valid points especially for $20k. Get a full set of NDT’s and a FULL canvas top + bows (Multi-piece OE style) and you might hit of $15k….tops. I just don’t see the CJ market hitting this price point. A nicely done MB/ GPW? Sure.
The nicer the restoration the closer we look at the details. When it’s “perfect” we look for paint runs in the wrong place.
Yup, the whitewalls aren’t doing it for me…someone with money and not much knowledge about them is the target audience for this.
I’ve seen SO many projects as of late that it’s just great to see a clean jeep (if imperfect restoration) for sale. I really like those splashy white-wall shoes. I would have put those on Patterson if the budget allowed.
I should add that the white walls were featured on the DJs … I can’t see putting them on a 4WD jeep though.
I think the wide whites add a fun factor to this CJ that you don’t often see. After all a vehicle restored to this level is not going to be doing a lot of boulder bashing and the tires are probably safer around town than NDT’s. Besides that, it’s not a permanent or irreversible modification.
