Mike shared this CJ-5 .It’s ago a few unusual mods. At first I thought the hardtop was a Sears Deluxe (and the doors appear to be Sears), but from the inside it’s got cracks everywhere, suggesting it is fiberglass. Anyone have experience with these tops? Is it some type of interior insulation that is cracked?
“This listing is for the 1960 Willy Jeep shown. It has the arctic hard top, upgraded wheels and brakes, and an 84″ snow plow. It runs and operates as it should. The speedometer is new, true mileage unknown.”
My opinion is that it’s aluminum and the cracking is incompatible paint to the base.
60? Has bottom mounted wipers
Dave: That makes sense.
Bill: Mix of parts?
I forgot the question … What’s sitting on the floor in front of the passenger?
I was also wondering what that is. Is there a heat duct hooked to it? I would believe it to be a mixture of stuff going by the running boards , rear bumper and misc extra add ons. Guys like this (sometimes myself included)will use what’s easily available or cheap.
The usual heater box under the hood is not present, but the fresh air hose is right to the firewall.
