Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seems to be a mix of Jeep photos from the WWII Red Army. I’m guessing the early Jeeps were from the “Lend/Lease” program. For those who don’t know much about that, here’s some links from a Moscow Museum.

Have a friend in Russia who told me his Uncle had a Jeep ( did not explain how he got the jeep, but may have been a 5 finger discount jeep) He loved to drive the jeep up stairs in parks and around Government buildings.
He told me Jeeps are the best thing from America, 2nd only to Spam.
I wasn’t aware that Russians like spam? I did not know that.
Back in the late 1980s my parents hosted a Russian weightlifter as part of the Goodwill games. He really enjoyed the different breakfast cereals!
