UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(12/07/2017) I wonder how the plates on the front bumper are used.
“This 1948 Willys Jeep has a clean title. I actually have the original title. It has only had two owners. It has the original 4 cylinder engine. It does need new points and plugs. It also needs the brakes replaced. The new brakes come with it, but do need installed. We are open to fair offers.”
The previous owners of my Dad’s 62 CJ5 had a welder and were not afraid to use it. It had similar plates welded to the front bumper just in front of the front spring shackles. I imagine that they were for protection of the shackles. It also had a 1/4″ steel skid plate welded to the bottom of the front bumper and to two 3″ wide supports (welded to the frame) to protect the front diff.
