Has a later Lhead engine thst runs great.
It has power steering. This is a mod that was already on it. but it looks pretty stock bc the steering column is the original type. Works great. And is really nice not to have to muscle the steering wheel
Also have new repro rear seat coming this week and brand new military top i have in the package still ready to put on. Waiting till the sun is gone to install. Its the orig military type without doors thats canvass

Any idea what the power steering unit would have come from – and how big a deal is it to remove?
Removing the power steering pump is trivial. Removing the steering unit itself is trivial. Replacing the tie rods with original tie rods and a bell crank and it’s associated parts shouldn’t be too difficult IF the belling crank mount hasn’t been modified. Also, you’d have to check to see if the steering column itself has been modified. Finally, you’ll have to reinstall the housing unit that sits at the bottom of the steering column.
The most difficult issue might be rebuilding the the front frame rail, which looks as if it has been patched a couple times. The would need to be examined closely. I can’t see everything in the pics, but it doesn’t look like the power steering mount was very well designed.
