“Hello this listing is for a 1942 Willys MB Jeep. It has been disassembled by my brother and I and as more projects came up this one got set aside. Now instead of letting it rot away we thought we’d pass it on to the next lucky owner. This was our grandfather’s Jeep and has been in our family for as long as I can remember, 30 or 40 years!
The engine was started two years ago and it went into gear without a problem.of course that was before we took it apart last winter. However we haven’t disassembled any parts of the drivetrain it is all still intact. The engine isn’t correct for the vehicle it was rebuilt and installed in the 80s and probably only has a couple thousand miles on it. It’s a 1956 L head out of a cj3b if I remember correctly. I remove the starter to see if it would work in another Willys we have but it didn’t so that will be with it as well I’ll try to install it in the next couple days if it doesn’t sell right away.
The floors were pretty rusted so we remove them and bought brand new front and rear replacement floor kits! For the two floor panels and a couple of gauges we bought at the same time for this Jeep it was over $1,200!
The original windshield is the light green one in the picture and the glass is in fair condition, no cracks. The darker green one was in the back of the Jeep with the two, a usable windshield could be assembled I believe. The gas tank has been stripped but it sounds like there’s some stuff on the inside dirt or what not. The grill is bent up a little bit but all the ribs are intact none are broken.
I don’t think this is a candidate for a show car restoration type of deal. But more of a jeep that can be built and rode up the trails or used for parts. But it does come with the clean Colorado title. And a lot of good usable parts not to mention the brand new floor panels.
I’m asking 1800 or best offer for everything I have for this Jeep.
I am open to trades I have a couple other projects and we go camping and off-roading quite a bit with our razor. I would prefer cash gold silver items such as that but I also have a 1949 Willys panel van that I’m working on as well as a few Volkswagens I would be interested in parts that would work on that type of application,or other cool stuff with engines and such. Shoot me an email, or text, or call with offers or things that you might want to trade and we’ll go from there. Thanks for looking at my listing and I appreciate your time I hope you have a great day!”
