“Up for sale is my 1948 Willys Cj2A. It runs and drives very well. It’s on 16-6.00 military tires in good shape with about 60-70% tread or so. The engine is an L134 flathead with aftermarket air cleaner set up with a K&N cone filter and foam pre-filter. Other than that it’s relatively stock, and runs strong with good oil pressure, fresh points, and a new coil. The Transmission and transfer case are also stock to my knowledge, other than the Warn overdrive added to the transfer case giving the jeep another set of forward gears. The T90 3 speed shifts well and the synchronizers seem to be in good shape. Unfortunately, both the transmission and transfer case leak oil at the input shaft and rear output shaft respectively. However, a full seal kit for both is included in the sale of the jeep.
Dana 25 front axle is stock for the most part and is in good shape. It has been lightly upgraded with locking hubs, and u-joint axle shafts in place of the old Bendix joints. Dana 41 rear axle is fully stock to my knowledge and both axes are running 5.38 gears. The frame is in good shape; No cracks that I know of. Body is in decent shape, there is some rust in the floor under the tool box on the passenger side and then some rust damage to the body support channels and a small hole in the cowl. Also, the rear right corner of the tub is a bit dented due to the spare tire running into a tree before it was moved to the back of the Jeep. Windshield frame is still in working condition, but does have a fair amount of rust damage. However, a new CJ3A windshield frame, glass, and weather stripping are included in the sale. The jeep comes with a good working Super Winch Tiger Shark 9500lb winch, LED lights front and rear, 130 Watt Long Range KC Day Lighters, Undine Bearcat CB with 5 foot fire stick antenna, large Locking 40mm ammo can center console, Vintage Air heater and defroster unit (mounted under the dash on the passenger side), and Viair 450C onboard air compressor with 3.5 gallons of air storage.
I have also collected many spare parts and additional parts for future projects on jeep that come with it.
These include but are not limited to:
Complete Fuel injected Ford 2.3 liter engine with wiring harness and ECU out of a 94 ford ranger that I was planning on eventually swapping into the Jeep in place of the flathead. Also incudes the correct Ford Pinto bell housing to work with the adaptor from Novac Conversion to adapt the engine to the stock T90 transmission.
A Second incomplete ford 2.0 liter pinto engine (Head, block, crank, rods, 2 intake manifolds, carburetor)
Dana 30 (out of a second gen CJ5) and Dana 44 (out of a 1965 cj5 with offset diff to accommodate the Dana 18 Transfer case) axle housings with spring perches that match the Dana 25 and Dana 41 axels currently on the jeep (makes for a near bolt in swap). Note: I only have the housing and cover plates, no carriers, shafts, or other internals
Many boxes of spare parts including almost every seal necessary to fix the oil leaks (Transmission and Transfer case seal kits, pinion seals, steering gearbox seals), as well as spare rear axle shafts, original front axle shafts, new U-joints for front and rear drivelines, steering bell crank rebuild kit, brand new tie rods and tie rod ends, and spar top and hardware (without doors).”
