1947 CJ-2A Oak Brook, IL **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000.

The jeep ran and drive before disassembly. Now it’s a project.

“I’m selling my 1947 CJ2A project. The jeep runs and drives (just not now). When I got it in February/March, I was driving it around, then realized the transfer case had a stuck fork. So the transfer-case was rebuilt.

Here is what needs to be done:
-Clutch work
-bleed the brakes
-electrical
-body work
Everything is there albeit a few broken bolts that were discarded during disassembly. Comes with extra jerry cans and an original WWII Grill. This would make a great military jeep when restored!
This was going to be restoration project but real-life has since gotten in the way. No tire-kickers”

It says the author has deleted the post. I find that most Craigslist links come up empty. Either deleted or closed. Can you help me . Thanks. Steve

This one must have sold. I’ve updated the post.

You’ve likely already discovered that eWillys isn’t a normal classified site. Think of it as a slice of jeep history, based mostly on craigslist and eBay ads.

Craigslist Ads are deleted by sellers or expire at different rates depending on where the ad is located. In many cases, Ads are repeated. In some cases, they aren’t re-listed even though the jeep remains for sale. So, I always err on the side of ‘for sale’ unless contacted by someone or unless the ad is deleted by the author. I’ve been working on deleting old ads as I can, but it is time consuming.

The overall goal of eWillys is to get a sense of how these old flat fenders are priced so that both buyers and sellers have a better sense of their local and national market. That’s why I keep most ads in place.

Also, in some cases these jeeps provided a teaching tool to show others something unique or unusual about the jeep.

So, to get the most out of this site, you are best off reviewing it every day or every other day to see what’s been added. There are plenty of folks that read eWillys early in the morning to spot the best deals.

If you have a question about a post, feel free to comment on the post with your question or email me directly at d@ewillys.com. Thanks!
