Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This jeep has some polish to it. The bumper looks unique (possibly a dealer add-on?) and the rims are old school. It may even have a stainless windshield.

The 289 “K” code hipo engine used in 65-67 Shelby’s had an aluminum hi rise intake and a mech advance distributor which this appears to have, although wrong exhaust manifolds, if this is a true 289 Shelby engine the engine alone would be worth 3 times or more than the price of the jeep, you never know until you look.
Still a good price Shelby engine or not, if this was in Texas I would buy it, someone is going to get lucky.

I didn’t know that about Shelby engines (never followed them). After a quick look at eBay and Shelby parts and I can see what you mean!

Dave, in 1967 I bought a 1965 fast back mustang that was a “K” code which had the 289 high performance option, this was the base car ordered by Carroll Shelby for all his GT 350’s he built in the early years, they were all white in 65. This cars had bigger 4sp, rear end and other features unique to the car which had the “K” in the VIN, other mustangs had A,B,C. My dad sold it when I was sent overseas in early 69, I told him to sell it because I was going to by a new Corvette when I returned, boy do I regret it now!
