UPDATE: **SOLD** for $5000 on eBay.
This poor forgotten FC!
“This is a Jeep M677 FC built for the USMC. Supposedly only 1000 of these were built and very few are still in existence. I am unsure of the year. It is not running but the front and rear diff does freely turn and appears to be all original but the engine is not. It appears to be an inline Ford 6 cylinder. Feel free to contact me with any questions.”
Fyi. No title.
Looks like there are no front wheels. Based upon the fresh cuts on those tree limbs between the bumper and body, I’d say this has sat in one spot for 10 years and the trees grew between there.
Just in case anyone is wondering, the rear wheels are from an early 90’s Suzuki Sidekick
So would anybody just cut the branches off below the bumper and keep the remainder in place? 🙂
I’ve once went out to see a “yard find” Packard where the owners had moved it from the tree line to the driveway, and there were whole bushes stuck in the wheel wells and part of a tree in the engine compartment. (I didn’t buy it because of extensive rot.) Based upon the fresh cuts on the branches, and how they’re stuck in place, it’s likely they grew there.
Hmm…is it ironic that it was a Tree Care truck in its previous life? I believe that’s what it says just under the windshield. If that’s the case I’d say leave the saplings in place and preserve em. Not to far from me.
Why are you are you people scared of a little work, this is an M-677.
Anything on it can be restored
Jesse, if that would take only a little work, then yes I’m sceered, very sceered! But you are right, it could be restored, however the cost and time (years) of that lengthy project sceers me even more. I would dare say most of us on here are a one person operation. So one can see the sceery dilemma this would create.
Someone bought it for $5000 plus dollars.
Whoa, I don’t have that kind of cash! Oh well is all I can say.
Why are some of you people scared of a little work, if it was perfect, would it be to expensive? This is an M-677.
Anything on it can be restored.
