UPDATE II: Still Available. This has rust in the cab corners and a sprung drivers door. There also no mechanicals for the boom.
UPDATE: Dan found a photo of this FC from years ago:
===========
Original post: I like the price! Thanks to Bill for sharing it.
“1957 Jeep Willys FC170 truck. Classic local patina is original!
6 cly flathead engine, 3spd transmission. Most parts are there but missing transfer case, PTO, and front hubs.
Truck has original vin plate.”
Now that is a good deal. Not rotted out and set up as a wrecker. Cool. Wish it was closer to me.
Golly, that is an awesome FC.
Ted Corder was in Susanville… sounds like they did a lot of cool work (http://che.stparchive.com/Archive/CHE/CHE01291949p02.php)
Here’s a picture of it in service: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/19/67/50/19675021b77ec3d814db426b6c33b247.jpg
Love that FC. If only it could talk!
Wow Dan. Great find on the pic. I will add that to the post. That could help someone if they wanted to restore it!

Good thing I am not looking for a cool FC. This one is almost in my back yard. If I am in Susanville this weekend I might try and get more pics.

HI Cary,
The ad disappeared from Craigslist, so I don’t know if it sold or not. If I see it again I will send you an email.
