“1948 Jeep CJ2A
This is a one of a kind WWII jeep! It’s most likely the only one like it in this area as most of them aren’t fully enclosed. If you want something that’s impossible to drive without smiling, this is for you. I believe its original purpose was for communications equipment during WWII based on a little research I’ve done.

Everything works like new! Ok, that’s a lie, but it does drive down the road. It has working 4 wheel drive and hi/low range that functions correctly. The tires are brand new and have great grip in the mud and woods. It’s almost comical how well it rolls over logs and anything you put in front of it including small trees.

Proof of tetanus shot is required before test drive. Not really, but it doesn’t have any of our common safety features that come standard nowadays and plenty of metal all around you. The paint could be touched up, but fortunately you won’t feel bad if you scratch it. It has a working normal horn, but more importantly it has an onboard air horn that is incredibly loud. The onboard air has an auxiliary port that can be used to air up tires or do other small air powered tasks. I replaced the brakes and master cylinder two years ago, so it stops decent.

The motor is actually newer and most likely out of the 1950’s. I did a partial rebuild on the carb two years ago, so it starts and runs consistently. I estimate it to be a whopping 50 hp or so and it tops out around 40 mph or so. Believe me, 40 mph is more than enough when you actually ride in it. Interested persons should be mechanically inclined at least a little to aid in understanding how it runs and keep it running.

I can guarantee you will have fun with it.”
