UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6998.
(03/19/2017) Part of the rear floor has been patched with diamond plate.
“TEMPORARY LOWER PRICE, I bought a new house and will be moving in late may, I do not want to have to trailer the CJ on top of my other project, and the new place does not have a garage to store it in. The price will go back up once I move.
Selling my ’57 CJ-6, it’s a blast to drive around but I have decided that I need something a bit bigger for a 4×4 that I can drive around town a little easier. This CJ-6 is old school and will only go around 45mph before running out of gear (manual 3 speed on the floor).
The CJ-6 is the factory extended version of the CJ-5 and shares all parts (aside from the frame and body panels) with one, if it bolts to a CJ-5 it will bolt to the much cooler and less likely to roll over CJ-6.
It has a brand new roll cage built by 369 here in Bend ($1400), also has brand new soft top and doors that I never got around to installing that will go with it from Bestop (also $1400). Has dual fuel tanks with selector. Cheapo 12k winch but it does work.
Soft top has two different frames, the one on the Jeep in the pictures is a custom frame, there is a smaller and less noticeable frame that came with the top as well.
A set of metal full doors will come with it as well but they are in rough condition and will need significant restoration.
Throwout bearing will need to be replaced at some point, it whirs a bit sometimes.
There is some fiberglass work done by the previous owner and there are a couple spots of rust that will need to be wired off, diamond plate in back replacing a section of the floor.
All in all it’s a very solid CJ.
I am negotiable on the price and will take partial trades for firearms, no cars though as I have already bought the project truck to replace the CJ.
Also, this is a solid vehicle so if your on the fence about making an offer I can take you for a ride, i’m not going to balk about driving it around when I enjoy doing it.”
