The paint looks a little odd in that last pic of the tailgate. I can’t tell if it has been touched up or if it’s a reflection (I think it is the latter). I’m also a little puzzled about the PTO bar. It looks like it sits at an angle?

So, I’ve got a question for eWillys readers. Why do people who sell cars obscure the license plates with their finger when they take a picture? I mean, they could easily remove the plate instead or they could hang a towel or rag over the plate to obscure it if they are too lazy to take it off. But, the bigger question is what do they think they are accomplishing by doing this? Privacy? We all drive our cars all over the place every day and people everywhere can see our license plates. In the end, this does nothing to prevent invasion of privacy and all information on this seller is readily available for those who know how to look for it. Why does this bother me? Probably because I’ve got a touch of OCD and knowing that obscuring the plate with his finger has done nothing to protect his privacy. I just find it annoying. Thoughts?

It’s worse than that. With license plate readers all over (including in some police vehicles, among others) plate numbers are being recorded without consistent policies in place for detailing how long that information is saved and how such information should be handled … http://www.theiacp.org/ALPR

Oh it that what they’re doing! I thought they were just pointing out the warped up, badly secured PTO mounting and the spray paint touch up along with the bad job of repair on the lower tailgate. Gee I really missed that one. Privacy, huh, where’s that community drop box Dave?
