thank you…. that was fast. I am looking for something like that but in central California or at least a little closer than Dalas. Any recommendations?

If I’m online, I try to respond to incoming emails asap.

It you are looking for a modified flattie, the west coast is the best place to find one. There are much more prevalent. It may take a few months, but keep watching eWillys or monitor these Craigslists:

Those are most likely the ones to have modified flat fenders in California, based on my experience.

I looked at it recently. Runs okay. I’ll break down the positive and negatives:
    Positive:
    Engine seems tight.
20 gallon tank that goes across under both seats.
    Locking hubs spin easily.
Serious full cage. Back part is welding onto steel plates that cover the entire back fenders. Front part crosses over and ties to the frame.
    Hydraulic clutch.
Doesn’t seem to have much slop in the rings and pinions.
    Transfer case shifts well.
    Frame seemed okay.
Appears to be lifted via spring mounts and shackles.

    Negatives:
    Bedliner over entire jeep.
He says it has a Muncie, but judging by all the bolts on the side cover, it’s probably a T-10. Hard to get into first gear.
The seat to pedal geometry is very uncomfortable. I had to lift my entire right leg with my arm to get it high enough to get to the brake pedal. Has CNC brand hydraulic master cylinders and rod type throttle linkage instead of cable.
    No wiper assemblies.
    No rear view mirrors.
Hooker blockhugger headers need to be replaced with fender well headers. less than a quarter of an inch clearance between left one and steering. Only about an inch between the left one and the front drive shaft. Fenders are cut out for them anyway. Flomasters are loud.
That really well built cage sticks out about 2-3 inches over the front window frame. Not compatible with a top of any kind.
    Surface rust on wheels.
Power steering has a lot of slop in it.

Thanks for that review Jim. I’m sure that will help readers. I hadn’t seen a price drop on any ads, so that’s good to know. I also hadn’t noticed the bedlinen, but now that I examine the body photos better, that is much more obvious.
