UPDATE: Still Available.
(12/11/2016) Could use a paint job.
“Great driver quality with excellent mechanicals. Converted to 12V with all new wireing. 4 Clyinder engine w/ overhead valves and 3 on the tree standard transmission. Electric cooling fan, new fuel pump, alternator, brakes, etc. Always a California car, so no rust issues at all. Has 1 older repaint with awsome patina, original color was wheat w/ black belt. Like new black interior, carpet, top and side curtains. New radial tires, old bias ply spare for personality. Working heater. Overdrive, horn, and radio not hooked up. Installed 3 sets of seatbelts for the grandkids in the back seat. Lots of fun and always get a bunch of great comments wherever we go. ”
I like the location for oil filter… 🙂 Dealer option?
Doesn’t look like the standard Fram! Probably an owner add on!
Now it’s a feature 🙂
I would think heat would be an issue with the oil using that. Might be good in cold country, but seems like it would contribute adversely to the life and function of the oil.
The normal location of the oil filter is attached to a bracket that is bolted to the cylinder head, so it absorbs heat from the engine anyway. Oil temps inside the engine when it is running are high anyway as it fights the friction.
