Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s an interesting item. It’s powered by a Hercules engine (according to the seller).
“This is a commercial propane backup generator that was installed in a fire station. It was working when removed. It is approximately 20kw. The best part is the engine is the same engine that was in production Willy’s at the time. It is powered by 1960s Jeep Hercules 6 cylinder flat head. Please call for more info and to take a look.

I don’t think this engine is a Willys “Hurricane” engine, nor is it a Willys “Hercules” engine. It might be a Hercules engine, but the configuration is wrong for a Willys 6 cylinder engine. Hercules industrial engines were used in many functions over the years.
