“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep with a 1953 F4-134 willys Hurricane motor that runs awesome and has a bit more power than the original flat head. Fires right up instantly when you hit the key.
Selling because of health reasons. New carburetor, Clutch is good, New floor pans front welded in, New hat channels under the front, all welded sheet metal steel on the lower sides were rusted. the rust is all gone. Cut it all out completely and wire welded in new sheet metal. it still needs some finish sanding to be nice. it is solid now. frame is solid and has what looks like aftermarket springs for about a 2 inch lift at some point.
Changed over to 12 volts, new alternator and fan belt. New wiring throughout from bumper to bumper. new lights, new turn signal switch, new fuse panel, also installed new relays wired into the 12 v headlights so they are nice and bright on both bright and dim. new brake master cylinder, brake pads look new. wheel cylinders are recent. (pads still could use some adjusting but it does stop it ok, no power brakes… it is all foot power ! same with steering. it has a top speed of about 45 mph anyway. everything works. drives decent for a 1948 willys. 4×4 works. has locking hubs front were taken apart and wheel bearings re-packed and hubs greased. Has a floating rearend too. fresh change all fluids in transfer cast, transmission and front and rearends and lubed all the zerk fittings. new fuel tank, new fuel pump, new fuel gauge and sending unit. all gauges working. all lights and turn signals working. Has a tow bar and it tows like a dream, also has a PTO. New seat foam and marine upholstery. (also put the foam in plastic trash bags to seal the foam from water before the upholstery was installed).
Comes with the aluminum rims you see in photo and have a extra set of steel rims it had on it . also comes with the roll bar. Has a half cab steel top as well. but no doors and fits with the roll bar on. New safety glass and seals in the windshield which opens and is functional. Has new mirrors. Has the Special Oregon plates so never need to buy tags again ! unless you want it as a daily driver then I think you should put the old plates back on. This jeep is very fun and gets so much attention and is ready for hunting or just fun.”
