Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I did not know the FC 170 had short wheel base. This sure does look short compared to what I have seen on here.
I *think* it’s just the photo angle. I agree that it does make the wheel base look a little shorter than normal, but not so short as an FC-150.
Gas tank looks like a 150 as well.
After eyeballing the frame, I am going to say it looks to be the 170 frame has been shortened. The wheels are from a FC 150.
